Harry Potter…Over. What?

I still cannot believe it is finished. It feels as if a part of my childhood has just ended. I grew up knowing nothing but Harry Potter. I can still remember the outrage it caused and schools and libraries band the books from their shelves, which I find completely absurd still to this day. I give so much credit to J.K. Rowling for creating this series of books that swept not only the nation, but the entire world. It amazes me that everything, down to the last detail, was all from her imagination. I don’t think my mind, my imagination could ever travel to such lengths, not to that level. I am one of those guilty of not reading the books, but seeing the movie instead. Well, that is only 50% true, I have read books one through four and some of five, but never did I finish it or read five, six and seven.

Another saga, probably the greatest ever, or at least the greatest of my lifetime, has ended. Last night people dress up for one last final go. I did not participate in the whole dressing up part of it. I am not that crazy about the series, though I did have friends that did. You can be sure that I will post pictures on here later to share with you all!

On another note, today is friday. Everybody loves fridays..right?

Awkward & Awesome.

Photo Via: Amy Kim Kibuishi

Awkward:

Having a great in depth conversation with new friends at lunch, only to realize when you get back to your desk you have chip crumbs all over your shirt. Thank you cheddar and sour cream chips, way to make a great impression on my new friends.

Talking, almost to the point of yelling, at objects such as my cell phone, purse, or whatever else is causing me a fit out in public.

Realizing I did not tweet all day long. Weird.

My room..still.

Attempting an outfit post. Not.

How hot it has been lately. Sticky. Humid. Muggy. Gross.

My fear of shopping for baby clothes for my friends and have a stranger ask you “When are you do?”..uh I am not “do.”

Being carded at the movies for a PG-13 film. Really? I will be 20 soon.

Showing up to work on time the day you told your boss you were going to be late do to a visit to the orthodontist. Ya, I forgot about that appointment. Hopefully when I reschedule my check up I will show up there and not to work.

Awesome:

HARRY POTTER! HARRY POTTER! HARRY POTTER! HARRY POTTER!

The US Women’s Soccer Team beating Brazil in shootouts. On that note, Abby Wambach and Hope Solo are pretty freaking awesome too!

My work providing fresh fruits such as bananas (my favorite), peaches, apples, grapes, oranges, and plums all day long, and lemonade made daily.

How every time I spell out the word banana I always do it with a Gwen Stefani Hollaback Girl tune..this sh*t is bananas b-a-n-a-n-a-s. (this could possibly also fall under awkward).

Finally painting my finger/toenails for the first time in forever. It was getting embarrassing, but now they are pretty in pink.

Even though it has been hot it gives me an excellent reason to lounge around in the pool.

Wine and cheese night with all of the girls this weekend!

Secretly planning my mom’s 50th surprise birthday party with my dad (who is not good at planning, so that is where I come in). Thankfully she does not blog, so shhh don’t tell anyone.

The movie Grease. I love this movie, and it has been awhile since I have watched it last.

All Around New Look.

I practically spent my entire day changing the entire theme of my site. My fingertips now have that fuzzy sensation you get from scrolling on the trackpad and typing all day long. I am pretty proud on how it turned out, but what do you think? I will be still making tweaks here and there, so bare with me if my page gets a little crazy!

Uh, so today was an absolute scorcher to say the least. Since I am pretty much a professional procrastinator I decided to shoot my first legit outfit post. I need to find a photographer best friend to snap some pictures of me next time. I no longer can deal with the running back and forth of the self timer, though it is a fairly good exercise. So, here we go..

This Day Goes To The US Women’s Soccer Team. This Will Be History.

I would love love love to congratulate the USA Women’s Soccer Team on winning today’s game against Brazil. That was by far the best soccer game, men or women, that I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Today will go down in history, I guarantee it. Hope Solo and Abby Wambach, there are no words that I can use. Solo proved to be the best keeper in the world and Wambach you proved that you can step up to the plate and lead your team at times when they need you most. I can honestly say that I am proud to be from this country and proud to be a soccer fan and player. The whole team never gave up (even though I might have a little) and played until the last minutes, literally. I was jumping, screaming, cheering, and crying all at the same time. Thank you for showing everyone why I love this sport.

I am soccer obsessed.

For those of you that did not watch the game, you need to..now!

Here is the quick (not so quick) run down. In the first couple seconds of the game Brazil scored on themselves, giving us the lead. We finished the first held 1-0. Then the start of the second half came and Marta was fouled in the box, which left our player with a red card and Marta with a free penalty kick. She then shot and Hope Solo saved it, only to then get the save taken away because of encroachment (someone entered the box before the kick). Then she got another free kick..and made it..stupid. We played tied the whole game, with a player down due to the red card, until it went into extra time. In extra time Brazil scored again and now leading the game. It was not until two minutes left when Megan Rapinoe crossed a beautiful ball to Abby Wambach who headed it in..for the tie. The game then went into a shoot out and the USA Women’s Soccer team came out with the win after Hope Solo saved one goal, and every single player that took a shot made it. The perfect ending. I can not stop talking about this game, and every time I do I get goosebumps and want to cry. Purely magnificent.

The great header goal by Abby Wambach that tied up the game!

The save by Hope Solo to win the game.

Raspberry Smoothies, Delish!

How fantastic does it look?! There is nothing better to drink during the summer time than a smoothie (okay, okay possibly lemonade, especially pink lemonade). This actually was my late, right before I go to sleep, snack. And boy let me tell you, it turn out perfect! Currently I have been obsessing over the pineapple mango smoothies at McDonalds (even though I am slightly allergic to pineapple, I look past it. Mind over matter..right?!). I advise you to try them if you have not already, and if you have tried them, try them again! Oh, yes, my raspberry smoothie, make one for yourself too. I just used fresh raspberries, frozen yogurt, and a splash of milk. I blended it all together in one of those Magic Bullet food processors, you know the ones on TV. Well what do you know, stuff they actually sell on TV does work! At least this does, it works wonders. Now I am craving another smoothie, gotta go check the fridge for some fresh fruit.
