Inspiration Board.

So this week has been finals week, and it has been crazy. So far I think I have developed a sleeping disorder, carpal tunnel, and suffering from eye straining. I can not wait for the week from hell is over and for summer to begin. Summer is going to be pure bliss.

However this week, me and my future roommates are trying to figure out our rooming arrangements for next school year. We actually where able to score a room (suite style room may I add) in the nicest dorms on campus that are typically for upperclassmen. However, when we went over to check out our new home we where shocked to find the room big enough for one person, let alone two. We were going to have to pay extra because it is a suite and much more nicer than the dorm rooms we were currently in, but the rooms itself were smaller. With us, that just did not fly.

So we explored all of our options with other rooming possibilities. We ended up finding an on campus apartment, that was cheaper for a shared room, but more expensive for the single rooms. My three roommates and I ventured over to the apartment to check it out. I fell in love, there is a living room, a bathroom, and three rooms (two single rooms and one shared). The apartment was spacious and it was pretty much an automatic decision. Our plans for next year is to move in there with my friend and I who were going to be roommates to get the single rooms, since we rarely ever go home and are there the most. The two other girls will get the shared room.

With me having a room all to myself I have already started coming up with plans in my head with how I am going to decorate my room. I have always wanted and inspiration board, and since I am enrolled in loads of classes for my major next semester I thought that an inspiration board would be necessary. I will upload photos as it gets going and develops more and more.

Well all of this talking about next year has gotten me all excited for school to start back up, which I don’t need right now with it being finals and all. Remember: I NEED SUMMER! Much better, now I have summer back on the mind. Well, I have procrastinated from studying enough, I better get back to this world civilization outline, after all the final for it is in an hour. Wish me luck!

Toga! Toga! Toga!

Photo Via: Glitter Glamour

I don’t know if you have ever been to a toga party, or had to wear a toga, but it is by far one of the hardest outfits to complete. For one, it can be done a zillion ways, and it is hard to figure out. Then once you do and drape the fabric on you, you have no idea where to start. I had to physically build mine onto me. I just safety pinned it to what I was wearing under it. I thought this was the best idea, and would ensure me that my toga would not fall down or come un done. Boy was I wrong. All night I was constantly tucking, tying, twisting, and pinning. It got to the point where I no longer cared, until my whole side came undone…”why hello boys!”…I will never wear a toga again (or so I tell myself).

The toga party started of my last weekend of my freshman year at college, and overall, my weekend was a fantastic success. My entire freshman year was a success. It came and went by so fast. I met so many new people, and built relationships with new friends. When they say college will be some of the best and worst times of your life, I can defiantly agree. I love, I strive, I crave for the weekend to save me from a week I had in hell. I got a taste of what college will be like for the next years, and I can not wait.

So heres to the all nighters, the nights I won’t remember, the people I meet, the memories I make. Bring it on.

The Rain Can’t Be All That Bad.

Photo Via: ControlSix

I will admit, I am sick of all of this rain. It has continuously rained here for a week now, and shows no sign of letting up. Tomorrow is supposed to be the worst we have faced here in Kentucky, so I will see how it goes.

I do have to admit, purchasing rain boots might of been the best investment I have ever made. Before I transferred here there was no need for them. The campus I was on never had any puddles, I could wear any shoes I wanted, and it was great. Now, here in Kentucky, the campus is as flat as a pancake so the water has no runoff. It just sits forever and a day it seems like, so there are puddles galore, and at times this can be a pain.

However.

Today was my friend Katie’s birthday, (who by the way is going to be my roommate next year). Us girls did all kinds of things for her all day. We went to Walmart and purchased all kinds of candy and goodies (all of the Easter candy was 50% off. SCORE!). Then her current roommate got her out of her room long enough for us to decorate the entire thing. Actually, Katie came back in the middle of our decorating process and I had to keep my fingers on the lock to keep her from unlocking the door to getting in and ruining the surprise. After many attempts to get in, Katie came to the conclusion her door’s lock was broken. Little did she know we were filling her entire room with balloons and streamers. Finally, when we revealed to her our beautiful creation, she was shocked beyond belief. She loved it, but that was only the beginning. We then blindfolded her and drove her to Cheddar’s for dinner. She has not idea where we were taking her, although we kept telling her we were going to the strip club. She was even more surprised when we let her take her blindfold off once we sat her down in the booth. Then we drove back, but she wanted Cold Stone, so we stopped for the princess. Again, little did she know that we had a cookie cake waiting for her back at the dorm. Once we did finally get back home, she was floored that we went above and beyond for her birthday.

To finish off the night we changed into our bathing suits and clothes we didn’t mind ruining and went out into our quad. Since the rain has still yet to subside, a huge puddle has formed in the middle of the quad. It is probably six inches deep and forever wide it seems, so basically it is a mini pond. So all of us girls went sliding, belly diving, splashing, and running into the puddle. It was like we were little kids. So see, you can make all of this gloomy rain fun.

Help Me Pick Rain Boots.

Where I am in Kentucky, it rains/floods constantly. We are actually in a flood warning right now. I have almost gone my entire first year of college without rain boots. Once I got here, I knew I needed them immediately. The only problem I had is that you don’t want to get a pair that someone already has. I have been on a rain boot hunt for a few weeks now and I have narrowed it down to these three, but I am having a problem deciding. I would love it if you could help me out. Which one do you like more? I would love your opinions.

Froot Loop Lover.

Good morning fellow bloggers. How did your your morning as well as your weekend go? Mine was great, by every aspect. Friday we had a girls night and decorated our shirts for the highlighter party the following night. We ordered pizza and watched Criminal Minds, (My fav). I became designated go to girl for every arts and crafts project  or I am always the first person they run to if something needs to be fixed (I guess a lot of things don’t change from high school to college). Now my entire dorm knows me to be the best “t-shirt cutter” on campus (You know like Ed Hardy). Well the night that we had all been waiting for so long arrived, the highlighter party. We put on our outfits, and strutted over to Frat Hall. Everything was going great, until it ended abruptly because a security guard found a bottle alcohol (Oh college). I am not sure if security knows this, but it is college, and kids to drink, (And some kids don’t) and you will not be able to catch all of them. That did not ruin my night though, I finished off the night with movies. Then all day Sunday I studied by butt off for all my mid-terms coming up, (The bittersweetness of spring break, mid-terms vs. vacation). Okay, I will admit it, I did procrastinate. I walked over to the gym to watch the intramural basketball tournament. Which, by the way, my team won the entires girls bracket. We were undefeated and lead in scoring (Holla!).

This morning my week began with an 8:00AM psychology mid-term. Then I sulked in doubts of my success with a great bowl of Froot Loops.

How was your weekend and morning!?
