Have A Glorious Weekend.

Photo Via: Caitlin Doe

This is my inspiration at the current moment. The weather has not been so appealing, and I am hoping in the near future for some fabulous weather. Right now I would really love to be on a beach, but I know life just doesn’t work that way. What is the weather like where you are? Is all of the snow finally melted? I hope all my readers have a great weekend.

I also want to give a shout out to Ournote2self. Check out their blog. They write great posts, that always leaves me laughing. Earlier this week they nominated me for the Stylish Blogger Award. Thank you guys, you’re great!

Ah, all of these fashions gets me excited for the summer.

Here are some great novellas to add to your summer reading list.

This is such a great idea for wedding favors for a beach theme wedding.

Plenty of was to wear a colored pant.

Look how clever these lunch bags are.

Numerous spring must haves that should immediately be added to your wardrobe.

Do you think that there are enough frames on the wall, I think not.

My current fashion addiction, pattern skirts.

An exquisite art piece with a video attached as well.

These pinwheel earrings are so fun, love them.

Pretty tiny polkadot fashions that are great for spring.

Since the Oscars are coming up, these popcorn cones are perfect to enjoy the award show Super Bowl.

Nothing is better than succesfully getting around your house in the dark.

No matter how many times I said I would not do it, I knew sooner or later I would conform just as everyone else. Except this time, instead of making it public and hogging the newsfeed I decided to do it on here. I like it better this way, and it also lets me believe that I am still breaking the mold.

15. I only use pepper, I never put salt on anything.

Day Two

A PICTURE OF ME AND THE PERSON I HAVE BEEN CLOSEST TO THE LONGEST
Of course my family, but they will come along here later on. This girl right here I have known since we were three years old. I love her to death, she has been there for me through think and thin. She has defiantly seen me at my worst moments, and has been with me at my best. We might be hundreds of miles apart at college, but we still talk on a regular basis. She has been a great friend through all of the years.

Day Three

A PICTURE OF THE CAST OF YOUR FAVORITE SHOW
Criminal Minds is my favorite show hands down.

Day Four

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU WISH YOU COULD FORGET
The day I lost my grandma. Its been almost a year, and I still feel like she is not gone, although I know it is true. Nothing is the same.

Day Five

A PICTURE OF YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY
Panama City Beach for my senior spring break trip. It was the best time of my life. I would do it again in a heart beat. The song If I Could Do It Again by Cory Smith is practically our story.

Day Six

A PICTURE OF A PERSON YOU’D LOVE TO TRADE PLACES WITH FOR A DAY
I love Sandra Bullock. I admire her to the extreme. She is one of the smartest, and strongest women in the movie business today. It is hard to find a celebrity that can be suitable for a role model. Plus, if I traded places with her, I could have access to Ryan Reynolds.

Day Seven

A PICTURE OF YOUR MOST TREASURED ITEM
I love my Mac. I hardly let anyone on it, and I must always be present. It is my pride and joy, defiantly the best gift I ever received. I treat it as if it was my child, and I even named it. His name is Sid because he is sleek and sophisticated.

Day Eight

A PICTURE THAT MAKES YOU LAUGH
I laugh every time I go through these pictures on my computer. They are great, and every single one makes me laugh harder and harder. I love these girls.

Day Nine

A PICTURE OF THE PERSON THAT HAS GOTTEN YOU THROUGH THE MOST
This is an old picture, but I love it. Lissa has defiantly gotten me through a lot, maybe its because we both have went through it together. She is always there when I need her. She has been my best friend for years now. We have always gone to different schools, but we make it work. This girl will be in my wedding one day. I love her, even when she has her “master” moments.

Day Ten

A PICTURE OF THE PERSON YOU DO THE SILLIEST THINGS WITH
My friends. My girls. Each an every single one of them. We are all crazy, and have the best memories. I love them.

Day Eleven

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU HATE
I hate tea. There is nothing I like about it. It is not just sweet tea either, any tea, any flavor.

Day Twelve

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU LOVE
My family. I love them all. This picture does not do us justice, there are so many of us. They are my rock, and I know that they will support me in anything I will face in my life. My family is great, and I would not have it any other way.

Day Thirteen

A PICTURE OF YOUR FAVORITE BAND OR ARTIST
I love so many bands and artist. I listen to all kinds of music, all genres. I chose a picture of Mayday Parade because I do love them, all of their songs. However, some of my other favorites are Streamline, Boyce Avenue, Trey Songz, Sugarland, and so much more.

Day Fourteen

A PICTURE OF SOMEONE YOU COULD NEVER IMAGINE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT
My brothers. I love them with everything I have. We went through our typical years of hating one another, but just as we were told, we grew up and all get along now. I would die if anything happened to them. We always have a great time when we are together. I am so thankful for how close we are, and I am proud to say that you will not find any siblings like us.

Day Fifteen

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE
I want to be able to repay my parents for everything they have done for me. They have helped me through so much of my life. They have worked so hard in raising my brothers and I. I want to be able to show them how much they mean to me. They deserve it.

Day Sixteen

A PICTURE OF SOMEONE WHO INSPIRES YOU
I love my grandpa. This is a picture of him and I years ago when I was a baby. He is such a huge part of my life. He is the smartest person I know, and has the biggest heart. He is the exact person that would take the shirt off of his back for another person. His door is always open for a visit. He is a great person, inside and out. I am so happy that I have grown so close to him.

Day Seventeen

A PICTURE OF SOMEONE THAT HAS MADE A HUGE IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE RECENTLY
Jake, my boyfriend. I have know Jake for years, but never was I as close to him as I am now. He has taught me so much about life, love, and about myself. He has proven to me how strong I truly am. He makes me laugh like no one else. He has become such a huge part of my life, that he will always been a huge part of me where ever life decides to take us.

Day Eighteen

A PICTURE OF YOUR BIGGEST INSECURITY
Maybe just as every woman, my weight. It has always been an insecurity of mine, and probably always will be.

Day Nineteen

A PICTURE OF YOU WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE
Obviously I am a looker. I was probably the most easy-going baby ever. Oh, and I loved that car.

Day Twenty

A PICTURE OF SOMEWHERE YOU’D LOVE TO TRAVEL
Ireland. I would love to go there.

Day Twenty-One

A PICTURE OF YOUR FAVORITE NIGHT
For some reason I do not have any pictures from any my favorite nights: Miami Light or Panama. Then I found this picture, and I do have to say this is up there with my favorite nights. We slept out on a trampoline in the middle of the summer, oh I miss the old days.

Day Twenty-Two

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU WISH YOU WERE BETTER AT
Memorizing. It takes me a lot of going over and over in order to make something stick. I just wish I was like many others who can look at it once, or even two times and know it. That would make my life so much easier.

Day Twenty-Three

A PICTURE OF YOUR FAVORITE BOOK
Im not a big reader, quite frankly because I am so busy, but I loved this book. Any by Jodi Picoult is great.

Day Twenty-Four

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU WISH YOU COULD CHANGE
My senior year of soccer. We had some issues, that I wish were smashed first thing. Without those I believe that we would of gone so far, but like I said we had our drawbacks. If I could go back and change all of that I would in a heartbeat. I loved high school soccer, and my senior year let me down, let me down bad.

Day Twenty-Five

A PICTURE OF YOUR FAVORITE DAY
Spring break in Panama. This day was wonderful and terrible all the same. We met the Real World Cast, which was a huge highlight of my trip. This day was just great.

Day Twenty-Six

A PICTURE THAT MEANS A LOT TO YOU
This is a picture of me and my Mammaw right after I was born. The only picture I have of it is a polaroid. If anything happened to the original I would be devastated.

Day Twenty-Seven

A PICTURE OF YOURSELF AND A FAMILY MEMBER
A picture of me and my little cousin Maddy. She the youngest of all of us cousins. She is precious.

Day Twenty-Eight

A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU ARE AFRAID OF
I am afraid of lots of things: spiders, the dark, and death. I could not find a picture of the other two, so I went with spiders. I hate them so much I couldn’t even put a picture of a real one on here, they make me sick.

Day Twenty-Nine

A PICTURE THAT MAKES YOU SMILE
I love my brothers and this picture. This pretty much sums up how we act. They are the best siblings I could ask for.

Day Thirty

A PICTURE OF SOMEONE YOU MISS
I did not think it would be fair if I chose one person that I miss, because there are a lot of people out these I miss. For one, my Mammaw and Grandmas P. I do not have a picture of Grandma P, but I miss that woman with everything. Both lived a complete happy life, but no matter how old they are, it is just as hard. Then comes Steph, Shane, and Rachel. They has so much life to live, and their time was cut short, and I think that is what hurts the most. I still think about all of them every single day. At times I wonder where they would be if what happened, never happened. They were all great people, with great hearts. And miss more than words can describe.

Rock Climbing Escape.

Photo Via: Zach Zupancic

Today I drove about 40 minutes outside of my college campus to meet up with a good friend. We met up with her friends to go rock climbing, which I was excited about, because I am always down for an adventure. Keep in mind though, I have not rock climbed since I was in 3rd or 4th grade, so I knew out of the gates that this was going to be an experience to say the least.

It started off great, because it was college night, which meant a cheap college price, score! I then was prepped on how to put everything on. Thank God for summer camp, because that trained me in how to put a harness on. Step one, harness correctly situated, check. Then they handed me a bag of chalk, which I never once used before in climbing, so I had no clue what to do with the little sack. Apparently you hook it to the back of your harness, so not so hard. Then he handed me climbing shoes, which again I have never used before in climbing. What was wrong with my good ol’ tennis shoes? I guess they just are not good enough. This place was legit, they gave me real shoes, and a bad of chalk.

We then proceeded to take the mandatory beginners course. They taught me and another girl, that reluctantly took the class with me, all of the procedures of climbing. I learned how to properly latch in, and how to belay. To me, belaying was the hardest thing to learn. Belaying is a technique that is used to secure the climber during their climb. As a belayer you are on the ground making sure that the rope that is attached to the climber has no slack in it so that they do not get tangled up in it. Once the climber gets to the top the belayer is responsible for getting the climber down safely. So basically, the climbers life is in the belayers hands. Of course we were not climbing a real mountain, we were just at an indoor climbing wall, but still the wall itself was very tall. This, obviously, is scary to have this responsibility on your shoulders, especially when this is your first time climbing in years.

I tried to remember all of the terms and words you had to use when climbing, but once we were dismissed to go on our own, I said screw the words, “Im done.” worked just fine with me when I was ready to come down. As soon as I started climbing my past rushed back to me, and I surprised myself how quickly I got a hang of things. It was such a help with the group I was there with, some of them were experienced climbers, and they would help you if you ever got stuck.

Now, after I was there for four hours, my entire body was sore. It defiantly was a total body workout. Let me put into perspective for you, rock climbing burned more calories then running nine miles, playing racquetball, swimming, riding a bike, playing basketball, and pretty much any other work out you can come up with. I will defiantly be doing some rock climbing for a workout in the near future.

Go on and try it for yourself!

Oh and the best part. Afterwards we went and indulged ourselves in Five Guys Burgers. So much for working off the calories.

You Can’t Teach Yourself Soccer.

Photo Via: Jeff Klingler

For those of you who do not personally know me, or are not a common visitor to my blog, I am a college soccer player. Soccer is my life, it always has been. There is nothing like walking onto a field smelling that fresh cut grass, and having the lights shine overhead for a late night game. You then hear that whistle sound for the start of the match, your heart stops, and races, all in the same moment. Then you are immediately in the zone, and there is no one that can bring you down. That is something that never gets old, I crave for that rush every year, every season, every game.

Well, I just transferred to a new school, on behalf a of very long story. I will try to cut it short by just explaining that it did not work out, and I was promised a lot more than was ultimately given. This new school that I am attending, I love.

For the soccer aspect of things, it is a bittersweet awaiting feeling. You see, the school’s soccer record is not the greatest. In fact, it is quite awful. The catch is that we have a ton of talent on the team, but the problem was coaching. For some reason the school thought it would be a good idea to hire a coach that has never played a game of soccer before in their life. You could teach yourself the game, and work your way to the top, but you will never be successful unless you play. No one can understand how to react to a certain situation, unless you have truly played soccer with your heart and soul.

This year is a whole new year for me, as well as the rest of the team. We have a new coach, new team, new goals. I truly do believe we will have such a better season. Wish us luck!
