Toga! Toga! Toga!

Photo Via: Glitter Glamour

I don’t know if you have ever been to a toga party, or had to wear a toga, but it is by far one of the hardest outfits to complete. For one, it can be done a zillion ways, and it is hard to figure out. Then once you do and drape the fabric on you, you have no idea where to start. I had to physically build mine onto me. I just safety pinned it to what I was wearing under it. I thought this was the best idea, and would ensure me that my toga would not fall down or come un done. Boy was I wrong. All night I was constantly tucking, tying, twisting, and pinning. It got to the point where I no longer cared, until my whole side came undone…”why hello boys!”…I will never wear a toga again (or so I tell myself).

The toga party started of my last weekend of my freshman year at college, and overall, my weekend was a fantastic success. My entire freshman year was a success. It came and went by so fast. I met so many new people, and built relationships with new friends. When they say college will be some of the best and worst times of your life, I can defiantly agree. I love, I strive, I crave for the weekend to save me from a week I had in hell. I got a taste of what college will be like for the next years, and I can not wait.

So heres to the all nighters, the nights I won’t remember, the people I meet, the memories I make. Bring it on.

Sweet Cupcakes.

Cupcakes seem to be this ongoing fad, that I am completely indulging myself in. They are a new twist to the old fashion cake. Now, some people are having a mass arrangement of cupcakes at weddings and parties instead of a large magnificent cake. There are even shops popping up all over the map that are selling strictly just cupcakes. Society is getting on board to the whole cupcake obsession. There are even shows on television that are in full support of cupcakes. Shows like DC Cupcake and Cupcake Wars are becoming more popular and becoming and ultimate smash.

Aren’t they just precious? All of these great items can be found online at Sweet Lulu. They have so many great items that would be perfect for any kind of party. I discovered them via A Cup Of Joe, which is one of my favorite blogs of all time to read. All of this talk about cupcakes is making me hungry, and it just so happens that I have cupcakes in my fridge here at school. I am going to go grab one before my next class, so have a great day everyone!

iPad Luck.

So life has been crazy for me lately. I know I have been distant from writing posts on here. Well, quite frankly I am not on my laptop as much as I usually am. For one, I deleted Facebook which gives me a tone of free time away from the computer. Second, I won an iPad so I now have even more of an excuse not to get on the computer. I mean there is an app for WordPress, obviously, because there is an app for everything. I have downloaded it, but it takes too long for me to type up a blog post. It is easier for me to do it on my laptop, but with not getting on as much, it makes me much more distant.

Let me share with you how I won my beautiful iPad. You see, I work at a company with a ton of employees in the winter when I am home on Christmas break. In about mid-March we always have an employee party. Everyone gets a certain number of tickets (it depends on how much you work, the more hours you work the more tickets you get) that can be used in the silent auction, which holds plenty of gifts with a broad range of prices. I started with the lowest priced prizes and worked my way up. I put random tickets in random bowls, and saved the rest for the bigger stuff. I finally worked my way towards the pricier prizes, and I put a good amount of my tickets in a LG television. I was in high hopes of winning that one, I mean what college kid wouldn’t want a high definition television in their dorm room? I then got to the iPad and realized I only had two tickets left, so I chanced it and put them in the bowl already consisting of hundreds of tickets.

The drawings for prizes started, but of course they make you wait out until the very end, so they do all of the little prizes first. Hours passed (not kidding) and I was getting tired of waiting around. I thought to myself, “What is the chance that I will actually win?” I thought my chances of actually winning were slim to none. So, I began to pack up my stuff to head out, then I heard the announcer stubble upon my name over the speakers. I stood up and ran up there excited for what I had won (although I had no idea what my name was called for, I was not listening when they announced the prize). As I ran up in front of everyone, I stopped and asked a familiar face what I won, and they replied “The iPad!” Now tell me I was not grinning from ear to ear. I was so excited, because I have worked there for five years and not won a thing. That made my night, actually probably my week.

My luck is changing for the better.

Mom’s Birthday Bash.

Photo Via: A Cup Of Joe

I am loving this picture. My mom turns 50 this year and my dad is planning on throwing a surprise birthday party for her. She is currently having a midlife crisis and is trying to suppress the idea of her turning 50. My dad is not the most creative guy in the world, and really needs my help with ideas. So, if any of you guys that have any great ideas (Photos would be awesome too) hand them out. I love new, fun, innovative ideas.
